How to Get Your Greatest Glam with the Color of the Year, Marsala

It’s November. The air is eerily warm but nonetheless, the holiday season is upon us. If your life is anything like mine, both November and December are filled with end-of-year after work celebrations. I find myself needing a look that’s chill (well, chill enough…you know me) during the day but translates into a look that dazzles at night.

Since 2000, Pantone–the company that created every designers’ dream, the Pantone Color Matching System– declares a “Color of the Year“. This year’s color, Marsala, pretty much hit it all the way out of the park when it comes to providing a the perfect glam beauty look.

Seriously, take a look at this baby:

Are you seeing what I’m seeing? The perfect reddish-brown nude. Look a little deeper and you have a vampy, berry shade on your hands. However this shade translates on your skin tone, I’m betting that the look is winning.

In the look that I’ve created, both the eyes and the lips pay homage to Marsala, the glam color of the year.

Marsala translates beautifully to the nails, too. I’ve been wearing the hue as a nude all season.

Using this beautiful purple from @essiepolish as a neutral right now. I have long fingers and long nail beds already but I love the way this time elongates the whole shebang. I used a matte topcoat to neutralize this even further.
